The Sandbox Project is a new birth to five program for child care providers in Montana. The program was developed as a collaboration between MonTECH, the state assistive technology program, and DPHHS. The program pairs online training with coaching to support childcare providers with increasing inclusive practices in their childcare setting. Steps in The Sandbox Project are listed below:

Step 1: Fill out this form to tell us you are interested in participating.

Step 2: Complete an online training hosted on the Child Care Resources website. The training does not need to be completed in one sitting. Cost: Free

Step 3: MonTECH will send you a basic assistive technology (AT) kit for you to keep. The basic AT kit will include common AT items you can use with the children you see every day. One kit per child care facility/workplace. Cost: FREE

Step 4: Sign up for individualized check-in to support children in your early childhood setting. Cost: FREE
*A project staff member will contact you about steps 3 and 4 after you complete the online training.

Step 5: Check-out additional AT kits through MonTECH (recommendations made during check-in session).

Step 6: Recieve a free customized AT kit for your facility to keep.
